Where EEGF's Mission Meets the Ground
Cascador is the organization through which EEGF puts its mission into practice. Rather than making grants and stepping back, EEGF operates Cascador directly — providing the capital, infrastructure, and strategic direction behind a dedicated in-country team. Cascador’s flagship offering, the Cascador ScaleUp program, works with growth-stage founders across Sub-Saharan Africa. This is EEGF’s core work: not one initiative among many, but the primary vehicle through which the foundation pursues its mission.
Why EEGF Invests in Cascador
High Potential People
EEGF backs founders who are mission-driven, growth-oriented, and equipped with the clarity to scale — leaders with the potential to become transformational, not just successful.
Resources
EEGF’s capital funds both the financial and non-financial resources Cascador provides: world-class education, personalized mentorship, a curated ecosystem, and access to catalytic capital.
Social Impact
EEGF measures success by outcomes that matter beyond the balance sheet — job creation, access to essential products and services, and increased earning potential for underserved communities.

Inside Cascador ScaleUp
-
- A 12-week leadership and business development program for growth-stage founders with proven traction, not early-stage startups
- Bespoke advisory support, mentorship, and investor-readiness training built around each founder’s business
- A direct pathway to up to $5M in capital through the Cascador Catalytic Fund
- Now expanding beyond Nigeria to founders across Sub-Saharan Africa
Catalytic Fund
The Cascador Catalytic Fund helps alumni companies access the capital they need to grow responsibly and sustainably. Alumni — and alumni only — are eligible to apply for tailored financing, deployed as debt, equity, or collateral-backed support based on each company’s stage and needs, in partnership with Sterling Bank. The Fund deploys up to $5M USD annually. Each cycle culminates in Pitch Day, where selected alumni present to Cascador’s Investment Committee and a curated audience of investors and lenders, and capital awards are announced.
